We were pleasantly surprised with this accommodation. I booked it well in advance as we were staying just before Christmas. My family and I had 3 units together and the receptionist put us all next to each other. The units have everything necessary for a comfortable stay. The beds were great, the air conditioners worked well and the kitchen was well stocked. The units were clean and we loved the large balconies and bush outlook. What thrilled us the most was the boardwalk to the surf beach - about 100m and we were body boarding in the ocean. The beach was almost deserted at all times. Two out of three units had outdoor showers - mandatory after time at the beach.
The positions of the units is excellent. Even though there is a backpackers on site, we wouldn't have known. They were all incredibly quiet - we were probably the noisiest guests with our combined 5 children.
There are two sets of shops about 1 klm down the road which stocked almost everything necessary. We recommend the Foodworks which was new and even had our gluten free bread. The IGA is not good - very run down and expensive.
Overall, these units ticked all our boxes and we plan to return in the near future.

Well equipped kitchen and comfy furniture plus a full laundry would tempt you to stay longer, listening to the nearby surf from bed or a chair on your private patio facing palms and ti trees. Efficient airconditionner and fans most welcome after summer driving.

Offering backpacker's dorm, hotel-style rooms and self contained units, we paid the bit extra to take a two bedroom self contained unit (own kitchen and laundry facilities)... And it really was worth it.
The unit was neat and clean. Fittings and furnishings are a little worn (the place has been running for a some time now) but everything worked. No room servicing offered though during our stay, but we found the spare loo roll, and I guess sand isn't that hard to sweep out the door.
Noise from the backpacker's hostel was minimal, (mostly just music) and in our location (unit 5) we were far enough away so that we hardly heard it. Although I could see how, if your unit was closer, it might impact a little.
Location is excellent. Only 200 metres from the beach via a pretty board-walked track, and within 10 mins walk to the town shopping area. 7 mins drive to the 1770 marina.
We liked Agnes Palms. It was unpretentious, laid back and charming accommodation in a stunning part of the world.

Stayed October 2015, travelled as a couple.
